日本の古い信仰の形  Japanese animism













大木に張られた注連縄(しめなわ)














夫婦円満を願う夫婦岩(めおといわ)

 日本でいうところの”神"は”精霊"に近い。川や森、岩や大木にも魂があると考える。注連縄は結界の意味があり、聖なる領域を守り、場合によっては荒ぶる魂から外部を守る意味もある。御幣(ごへい) 御幣は、神様の依代(よりしろ)。神・精霊が降りる場所を意味する。


Shimenawa, sacred rice-straw ropes, are hung across the around of the sacred tree or rocks.

Gohei are made by attaching zig-zag strips of white paper.
It means that where the Spirit come down.
